French painter Marc Desgrandchamps toils away on the print Les oiseaux in January. The print was commissioned by the French weekly Télérama, and graced the cover of its first 2010 issue.

Jim Dine on his last piece in November : a woodcut with monotype and hand-coloring.


Behind the artist, the proofs of black woodcut and color monotype before they come together. Jim Dine is preparing the monotype matrix to go through the press by laying color ground on a board.

Pictures, right and bottom, show the artist retouching the monotypes hot off the press.
