Rémi Blanchard

Rémi Blanchard (1958 -1993) was part of the Figuration Libre movement. His paintings and drawings were inspired by his childhood memories of his large family, often on camping holidays with his ten brothers and sisters. He described his work as "pictorial writing." This very gentle man began working in the print shop in linocut. He had an innate sense of the print medium and soon began to explore lithography and woodcut, sometimes combining all three techniques.
