Genevieve Munch, a very young painter when we worked together in 1986, was a set designer for the theatre. Born in Alsace, she lived in the Alps and felt inspired by mountain scenery. With her, I made my first experiments with translucent effects, including prints on tracing paper. This led us to the poetic "Palette Horographique" (1989), in which she painted four tiny mountainscapes inside empty metal watercolor boxes. Her images, printed on tracing paper, were placed in the empty color compartments, and then covered with transparent resin.
