Born in Boulogne-Billancourt in 1959, François Boisrond is a member of the Figuration Libre movement. His colorful figurative paintings of pure shapes, often with black contours, were inspired by what he called "ordinary people’s art brut," be they stickers, comic strips, Christmas decorations or video games.
He came to the studio with his friend Hervé Di Rosa, and composed some beautiful lithographs. He continued to work with Franck when I went to work on my own, and they made many wonderful images.
